Charlie update Monday 14/07

Charlie Update

Just spoken to our lovely vet Lucy. Charlie is being admitted overnight for monitoring. He’s had another partial seizure this morning and is very lethargic. His temperature is slightly raised and there’s a sore patch near his wound, so he’ll be on pain relief and antibiotics too.

Lucy would like to carry out an ultrasound tomorrow — just to be sure the seizures aren’t linked to post-surgery pain. She suspects it may be a separate issue, but wants to rule everything out before considering epilepsy medication.

The scan alone will be around £1300, so once again we’re relying on your amazing support. We’ve said yes — because Charlie deserves the very best — but as a small rescue, we’re always mindful of our costs.
